Cambridge City Centre
The Market Square is a popular meeting place and is usually busy with students and tourists, especially in the summer. As well as being surrounded by shops, the market itself sells second-hand books and music as well as snacks and souvenirs. Just around the corner are several excellent bookshops including Waterstone's, which has 4 floors of books (including comprehensive law and English language sections) and an excellent cafe. The city has the usual banks and Post Offices, which are open until 5-5.30pm. There are several Internet cafes that charge by the hour and the central library in Lion Yard also has good computer and Internet facilities. The river Cam winds through the city providing plenty of opportunity for riverside drinks, picnics and boat trips.
